Gaye Bok, Partner, AI and Digital Innovation Fund, Mass General Brigham
Gaye leads Mass General Brigham’s $30M AI and Digital Innovation Venture Fund (AIDIF) investing in commercial stage digital health companies working with the Mass General Brigham system. Prior to joining Mass General Brigham, Gaye was a venture partner at an institutional venture fund where she was an integral part of the investment team and served as board director on several portfolio companies. Prior to venture investing, Gaye was an experienced commercial and business development executive, focused mainly on developing products and strategic partnerships across several verticals: chemicals, genomics, biobased energy and biobased products. Gaye received an MBA in Finance and International Management from MIT’s Sloan School and an AB from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges.
Michael Davies, Founder and CEO, WKD.SMRT
Michael’s expertise and experience covers the spectrum of the key issues involved in high-tech businesses, particularly mobile devices and services and wireless networks, and business strategies for the digital economy. He has worked for nearly thirty years in the telecommunications and related industries with a particular focus on innovation in mobile devices, communications services and network infrastructure. His experience spans the design, development and deployment of mechanical, electrical, electronic and high-tech products; manufacturing; software coding; video; supply chain management; research and development; technology; and strategy.

Some of her time supports accelerating clinical trials through partnerships and innovation. She has broad responsibility for chronic disease – chronic kidney disease, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, heart failure, asthma, COPD, lupus, and amyloidosis.
Amir Lahav, ScD, Digital Health Innovation Advisor for Pharma and Medtech
Amir is a Digital Health Advisor at the forefront of modern medicine. He sits on the Advisory Board of multiple medtech startups and holds strategic consulting roles with leading pharmaceutical companies. Amir is on a mission to bring together the brightest minds from far-ranging disciplines to push the boundaries of AI-driven solutions in clinical research and healthcare. Amir’s work is focused on digitizing disease monitoring, modernizing clinical trials, upgrading patient experience, and using AI and data intelligence to enable early detection of various diseases. During his time at Pfizer, Amir led the development of digital solutions for gene therapy trials, primarily in rare diseases. Prior to pharma, Amir was a PI on numerous clinical trials as a Neurology Faculty and Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.
Daniel Z. Sands, MD, MPH, Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Chief Medical Officer, WKD.SMRT
A practicing physician with training and experience in clinical informatics, Dr. Sands has worked in a variety of capacities in the healthcare IT industry for over 25 years and is a co-founder and the chief advocacy officer of the Society for Participatory Medicine. His digital technology career began at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he trained in medical informatics and developed and implemented innovative systems to improve clinical care delivery and patient engagement, including clinical decision support systems, an EHR, and one of the nation’s first patient portals. This was followed by leadership positions including Cisco, Zix Corporation, and others.
Dr. Sands has earned degrees from Brown University, Ohio State University, Harvard School of Public Health, and trained at Boston City Hospital and Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital. He holds an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School and maintains a primary care practice at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in which he makes extensive use of health IT—much of which he helped to introduce. In addition to practicing, Dr. Sands is the chief medical officer of WKD.SMRT.
